WEDNESDAYS from 12 MAY – 19 AUG, 2024, 1.10 – 1.50pm

This summer, the lunchtime tradition returns to the Hawk’s Well with a vibrant new season of free weekly music sessions — where audiences around the world can also tune in live as performances are streamed directly from the Hawk’s Well foyer every Wednesday from May to August.

Lunchtime at the Well is curated with the support of Maeve McGowan, with the traditional music programme curated by Clíodhna Donagher.

MAY 12: Muller & Munnelly

Les Muller and renowned accordionist David Munnelly will bring their unforgettable pairing to the series, with a unique collaboration that promises a rich and captivating musical experience.

MAY 20: Padraic Collins & Catherine Fagan

Traditional music lovers will look forward to performances from Padraic Collins and Catherine Fagan.

MAY 27: Earl Okin

International Jazz & Bossa Nova Cabaret Concert Artiste. Earl Okin is one of the world’s finest Jazz singers. In addition, he is probably the finest performer of Bossa Nova outside of Brazil.

JUNE 3: David Doocey, Stephen Doherty & Siobhan O'Donnell

This West of Ireland trio hailing from Mayo and Sligo blend an eccentric mix of old and new.

JUNE 10: Woven

Woven brings together four musicians for an intimate, collaborative set. Expect stripped-back arrangements, reimagined classics, and an acoustic feel shaped by folk, rock, and pop.

JUNE 17: Seoid

Seoid's upbeat, lively style of traditional music is rooted in the Sligo and Roscommon flute and Fiddle traditions.

JUNE 24: Note-Orious4

Note-Orious4 are a Sligo-based, award-winning close harmony female quartet who enjoy singing in the Acapella style.

JULY 1: Draíocht

The acclaimed Draíocht will showcase a beautiful blend of flute, fiddle and harp.

JULY 8: Cathy Jordan, Claudia Schwab and Seamie O'Dowd

Each artist brings a wealth of experience: composer and fiddle player Claudia Schwab; multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Seamie O’Dowd; and Cathy Jordan, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and renowned frontwoman of Dervish.

JULY 15: Brídín

BRÍDÍN, modern folk harpist, singer songwriter and composer from County Sligo, creates her music in her own modern and ethereal style.

JULY 22: Honey, Inc. Featuring Rory Conneally

Rory will be joined by some of Sligo’s finest young jazz musicians for a set of originals and standards.

JULY 29: Clíodhna Donagher & Friends

Clíodhna Donagher is a prominent young traditional Irish musician and singer from Sligo, recognized for her skills on the harp, fiddle, and as a vocalist.

AUG 5: Trio Hupsola

Three yodelling voices, singing fiddle strings, the Styrian Harmonika, the alphorn and the tuba, the guitar and the sea: this unique meeting of three multi-instrumentalists from Austria promises a lavish party of the alpine musical soundworld, its echo resounding all the way across the sea over to the ragged Irish coastline.

AUG 12: Jason and Lorna McGuinness

Jason & Lorna McGuinness are multi-instrumentalists who hail from Dromore West, Co Sligo.

AUG 19: These Foolish Things

These Foolish Things are a Sligo based Jazz trio with a twist. Larry Gallagher from New York, guitar and vocals, Siobhan O'Farrell lead vocal, a blow in 25yrs ago, from London via Dublin and one of Sligo's finest sons, Conor Bastible on piano.
