Padraic Collins is a harper based in Sligo, originally from Ballina in Co. Mayo, and has been playing the harp for 20 years. Padraic completed a BMus degree in Maynooth University before completing a PDE in Music Education in the University of Limerick, as well as an MA in Irish Traditional Music Performance. He went on to work as a professional musician, touring various parts of Europe with a variety of instrumentalists and singers, as well as performing as part of the Bunratty Castle banquets in County Clare. More recently he has worked as an educator of music, as harp tutor in University College Cork, before moving to London to teach music. He is now part of the thriving Sligo session scene, and performs locally and tours Europe on both harp and guitar.
Catherine Fagan, originally from Ratoath, Co Meath, Catherine joined Mercy College Sligo in September 2021. Catherine graduated with a Masters in Music Performance in 2014 and Masters in Music Education in 2016. Catherine is an active member of the Traditional Irish music scene in Sligo. She has performed both nationally and internationally. Catherine has worked with music generation, for the past number of years.
