For almost five decades, De Dannan has stood among the most influential and celebrated bands in Irish traditional music. Founded in Galway by legendary fiddler Frankie Gavin, the group helped redefine the genre through its virtuosity, innovation and electrifying live performances, earning international acclaim while remaining deeply rooted in the Irish tradition. Today, Frankie Gavin & De Dannan continues that legacy with a world-class ensemble of exceptional musicians.

Leading the group is Frankie Gavin, widely regarded as one of Ireland’s greatest traditional musicians. An All-Ireland Fiddle and Flute Champion, he has performed with musical icons including Stéphane Grappelli, Sir James Galway, Yehudi Menuhin and The Rolling Stones.

Joining Frankie are acclaimed accordionist Seán Garvey, award-winning pianist Catherine McHugh, versatile New York-born cellist and vocalist Kaitlin Cullen-Verhauz, and guitarist Ian Kinsella. Together they deliver an unforgettable musicianship, energy and timeless Irish tradition.
