The 1982 Universal Pictures science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg. It follows a lonely 10-year-old boy named Elliott who helps a lost, gentle alien stranded on Earth. Elliott, his siblings, and the alien form a deep bond while trying to help him "phone home" and escape government.
