2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Belfast’s Duke Special incredible album ‘Songs from the Deep Forest’. In this very special celebration concert, expect the album in its entirety as well as songs from Duke’s much loved back catalogue. To coincide with the anniversary, the revered album will be released on vinyl for the first time in May 2026.
Duke Special rose to prominence with his debut album Songs from the Deep Forest (2006), which became one of Ireland’s best-selling records that year and earned him a nomination for the Choice Music Prize. Known for his theatrical style and vintage aesthetic, he delivered standout performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Electric Picnic. His success was further cemented when he won the 2007 Meteor Music Award for Best Irish Male, alongside additional nominations in subsequent years. Beyond awards, his collaborations with orchestras and involvement in theatre productions have highlighted his versatility and contributed to his strong critical reputation as a distinctive and imaginative songwriter.
Plus very special guest, Niamh Bury is one of the most exciting new voices on the Irish folk scene. Her debut album, Yellow Roses, was released in March 2024 – quickly stirring hearts, receiving wide critical acclaim and earning #3 on Mojo’s Best Folk Albums of 2024 list. Niamh’s richly-textured folk sound and singular vocals has lead her to share the stage with acts Ye Vagabonds, Flyte, Maddison Cunningham, Dermot Kennedy and Martin Hayes.
Nominated for Best Emerging Artists at the 2024 RTE Folk Awards. Along with ØXN and Lemoncello, Niamh is one of the first new artists in almost two decades to be signed to Ireland’s most culturally important record label, Claddagh Records.
