Clíodhna Donagher & Friends

Enjoy a vibrant lunchtime concert with All Ireland Champion harpist and pianist Clíodhna Donagher. Coming from a family steeped in music Clíodhna has performed at home and abroad at festivals, fleadhanna and on radio and TV. She is joined for this performance by her friends, All Ireland winners Sophie Hanley (concertina), Edel Devenney (fiddle) and Aoife Fadian (uileann pipes). They have been playing together as part of various ensembles over the last few years, and they featured together on TG4's Geantraí earlier this year. Their repertoire has modern influences, yet they combine to produce a singular sound that is rooted deeply in the tradition, with a level of variation and interpretation that is remarkable and almost timeless.
