Hailing from the rich musical heartlands of Sligo, Tyrone and Fermanagh, Caoimhe Kearins, Ronan Warnock and Chris Maguire are a trio rooted in tradition and shaped by years of performing at the highest level of Irish music.
Fiddle player and singer Caoimhe Kearins from Ballymote, Co. Sligo, is a fourth-generation musician and one of the finest stylists of her generation. She is a multi All-Ireland champion, with Senior titles in fiddle, female singing, lilting and trio, along with the prestigious Fiddler of Dooney award. A respected teacher and primary school educator, she has performed, tutored and adjudicated for Comhaltas across Ireland, Britain, Europe, North and South America, with appearances on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, TG4’s Geantraí and Fleadh TV.
Ronan Warnock, from Trillick, Co. Tyrone, is a highly regarded piano accompanist whose playing combines subtle harmonic colour with a strong rhythmic lift. A sought-after musician on the session, stage and festival circuits, he is known for his sensitivity, support and instinctive feel for the shape and pulse of traditional dance music.
Chris Maguire is an All-Ireland Senior Button Accordion Champion, celebrated for his powerful lift, rhythm and distinctive Ulster style. A multiple All-Ireland winner with céilí band and trio, he has performed in Luxembourg, France and Chicago, represented Ulster at the BBC Folk Awards in London, toured with Comhaltas across Canada, Ireland and England, and teaches widely through Comhaltas branches, Tradacad, Cnoc na Ré and workshops across Ireland and Europe, sharing traditional music with players of all ages and abilities.
