Sligo Live presents Ashely Campbell - The Goodnight Nashville Tour, plus very special guest Stephen O'Dowd.
Ashley Campbell, daughter of country legend Glen Campbell began her career playing banjo and keyboard in her father’s band on several world tours and has found success as a solo artist in the country/Americana music scene; most notably with her debut single ‘Remembering' which she wrote for her father and is featured on the Grammy Award winning and Oscar nominated album for the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. Her original music has taken her all over the world, from China to Japan, to the main-stage at London’s O2 Arena to opening for Kris Kristofferson, The Bellamy Brothers, as well as playing at Carnegie Hall with songwriting legend Jimmy Webb.
With two internationally acclaimed solo albums under her belt, her third album 'Goodnight Nashville' was released in 2025 and she has toured the UK and Europe extensively with her band, including members Thor Jensen, Jack Amblin and Mark Lewis. Ashley has also released three videos with Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox and has been a featured guest on several Postmodern Jukebox arena tours since 2024.
Born and bred on the west coast of Ireland in the County of Sligo, Stephen O'Dowd has been brought up and encompassed with music. He is among the 4th generation of the O'Dowd musical family known for its roots in Irish traditional music, notably his grandparents Joe and Sheila, father Seamie and brother Rory. Stephen has been immersed in a wide variety of music drawing inspiration namely from listening to Folk artists such as Thom Moore, Planxty, John Martyn etc. Mythicising stories, encapsulating landscapes and depicting and creating characters his music leads you on a journey with 12/6 string guitar, harmonica, vocals and Irish traditional flair.
