Three Deaf couples. Three remarkable love stories. From a decades-long forbidden romance to an LGBTQ+ couple navigating parenthood with Deaf and hearing children, and a Deaf boxer and his hearing partner facing a life-altering choice, ‘A Quiet Love’ is a cinematic celebration of resilience and enduring love. Produced by a Deaf and hearing team and directed by Garry Keane (IN THE SHADOW OF BEIRUIT, GAZA).
The documentary has enjoyed a remarkable run on the international circuit since its World Premiere at the 2025 Doc Edge Film Festival in New Zealand, where it won the category award “Being Oneself.” It also picked up the Audience Choice Award for Best Documentary at the San Diego International Film Festival, underscoring its powerful emotional resonance with global audiences. A Quiet Love was selected to launch Singapore’s first ever documentary festival in December and also screened at Flow Festival, Australia and the Newport Beach Film Festival in California and is also an Official Selection of Chicago Irish Film Festival, Capital Irish Film Festival, San Francisco Irish Film Festival and Irish FIm Festa, Rome in 2026.
