Project Lighthouse: We’re Recruiting 30 Cultural Champions!

We are thrilled to announce that applications are now open for one of our most significant initiatives to date. Project Lighthouse is a cross-border peacebuilding arts initiative bringing together 30 Cultural Champions aged 18–25 from Sligo and Derry/Londonderry to explore what peace means for a generation born after the Good Friday Agreement.
Through creative exchanges, workshops, and performance development, participants collaborate with professional artists to develop a shared artistic response that explores identity, difference, and the future of peace on the island.
We are recruiting 15 Champions from Sligo, and 15 from Derry/Londonderry to live, work, and create together. You will travel to each other's cities for two immersive residencies:
Derry/Londonderry Exchange: 27 July – 7 August (St Columb’s Park House)
Sligo Exchange: 31 August – 10 September (Brú Moytura)
Final Showcase Weekend: 18 September
You will co-create and star in a major showcase performance, while a professional documentary crew captures every moment of the journey.
To ensure everyone can take part, we provide accommodation, transport, and a stipend for every Cultural Champion to support your time and commitment to the project.
No professional arts experience is needed. We are looking for voices, stories, and a curiosity about the world.
