Project Lighthouse: Final Call for Cultural Champions

INST FB PL 1

Applications are still open for Project Lighthouse, an exciting cross-border arts and peacebuilding programme bringing together young people from Sligo and Derry/Londonderry. We're now making a final call for applicants aged 18–25 who would like to be part of this unique experience.

As a Cultural Champion, you'll take part in creative workshops, artist-led exchanges, and collaborative performance-making with other young people. Together, you'll explore identity, community, and what peace means for a generation born after the Good Friday Agreement.

Participants will travel between Sligo and Derry/Londonderry for two immersive residencies, culminating in a public showcase performance. Accommodation, transport, and a participant stipend are provided. No previous arts experience is required, just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to take part.

Derry/Londonderry Exchange: 27 July – 7 August (St Columb’s Park House)

Sligo Exchange: 31 August – 10 September (Brú Moytura)

Final Showcase Weekend: 18 September
