Sligo pianist Nils Kavanagh takes up the inaugural position of Young Artist in Residence at Sligo Jazz Festival in 2023, having won Young Irish Jazz Musician of the Year 2022 at Limerick Jazz. As part of his first national tour, Nils will lead an energetic and explorative group, presenting original compositions and arrangements through the classic piano trio idiom Nils Kavanagh, piano Marcus Baber, double bass Sam Green, drums
