Ye Vagabonds & Cormac Begley - SOLD OUT

Culture Night

This September will see an exciting new Music Network collaboration including Ye Vagabonds, with Cormac Begley. Singers, multi instrumentalists and triple RTÉ Radio 1 Folk awardees, brothers Diarmuid and Brían Mac Gloinn are fast earning a ticket on the legend bus. With trademark close harmony singing, lean and tasty accompaniment and the rare ability to tell a good story in song, they cast their magic spells and remind us of how precious live music is.

Cormac Begley is a solo bass, baritone, treble and piccolo concertina player from a West-Kerry musical family. He also plays in a range of collaborations with Liam O Connor (fiddle), Rushad Eggleston (cello goblin), Liam Ó Maonlaí (singer and multi-instrumentalist) and Lisa O’Neil (singer songwriter). He is the founder of the Airt Residential School and the award winning Tunes in the Church live concert series in Galway and Dublin. He was nominated for the RTE Radio 1 ‘Folk Instrumentalist of the Year’ in 2018 and 2019 and his debut solo has received nine 5-star reviews and was shortlisted for the Irish Times Album of the Year 2018.
