Locals @ Lunch - Isabel Claffey
Take a look back at a snippet of last weeks Locals@Lunch with Isabel Claffey. Isabel was joined by fellow actor Margaret Kilcoyne to perform "I Hope You’re Proud of Yourself".
I Hope You’re Proud of Yourself is a light look at the grey matter of growing up distracted in 1980’s Ireland. The play opens in Maggie’s primary school classroom, where encounters with her teacher, classmates and Elvis loving parish priest define her experience of early education. We travel through time to adulthood and the label that helps her look back with self-compassion and forward to a culture beginning to rewrite it’s narrative on neurodivergence.
