The Takeover is an opportunity for 15 – 17 year olds who are interested in event management and the Arts to plan and manage their own programme of events at the theatre in May 2023.

Are you aged 15 -18 years old and interested in the Arts and event planning?
Would you like to work with Hawk’s Well Theatre to design an exciting programme of events for a day at the theatre in May?
If so, we would love to hear from you about becoming part of our young curators panel for the Takeover project at Hawk’s Well Theatre this year.

We are offering students one day at the venue this May to run a programme of your interest and your choice.

This project is a great opportunity to connect with artists across the county and to bring exciting work to audiences.

Young curators will ideally
Be from Sligo
Be passionate about the Arts
Enjoy working with people
Like organising events & making things happen

Curators will be supported by Hawk’s Well Theatre to develop their programme of events for The Takeover and will attend weekly meetings at the theatre from March through to May.
