Join us for some lunch-time theatre with the hilarious radio play Easy Aces- “Jane finds a mate for her mother” directed by Isabel Claffey, with Ben Flood, Catherine Berglund McLaughlin, Kate McGoldrick and Ethan Barrett. The cast will also be joined by musician Kevin Collins.
Ben Flood hails from Cavan and now lives in Calry, County Sligo. He took up acting in 2015 and since has appeared in pantomime and musical with Calry Drama Group. He has a performed on stage in the Hawkswell with Sligo Acts and during Covid produced, directed and performed in two radio plays on ZOOM. He is delighted to be performing in Lunchtime@theWell.
Catherine Berglund McLaughlin hasn't appeared on stage since she starred as Julia in her high school's production of "1984" in Edmonton, Canada. After attending four acting courses since moving to Sligo, she's thrilled to be taking the plunge again and hopes that you enjoy the performance.
Kate McGoldrick is no stranger to the Hawk’s Well having taken part in Acting for Adults courses and two years of Sligo Acts as well as belting out tunes with Kieran Quinn. This is the first time Kate has performed in a radio play and she looks forward very much to being part of Lunchtime at the Well.
Ethan Barrett took part in the latest course of Acting for Adults, also participating in the Hawk’s Well production Show up and Show off. Ethan is a talented improviser and a performer and is looking forward to making his Hawk’s Well Debut!
Kevin Collins is a lecturer in Engineering at the ATU Sligo. Music has always played an important part in his life. He learned the clarinet and guitar from a young age and was a member of the Sligo Concert Band in the early 2000s. Recently he has concentrated on the piano, sometimes playing with Kieran Quinn’s music groups but more often as part the Old Time Radio performances in McLynns, Sligo.
