Musicians from all over Ireland gathered at the Hawk's Well to celebrate the Jazz Ladds immense contribution to music in this very special concert.
The Jazz Ladds are Sligo's longest established band. They have reached iconic status locally and nationally and indeed can be described as a musical institution within the local social scene. Highly sought after at jazz festivals all over the world, these kings of Dixieland are firmly established as one of the busiest bands around. Though originally known as a traditional jazz band, over the years they expanded their repertoire to include Latin American, Blues, Country and even the odd old time waltz.
From Left: Roddy Gillen, Paraic Potter, Eddie Mc Farlane, Robert Burnside and Carl Nielsen.
