We have free events for all ages to enjoy on Culture Night!

Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir celebrates culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.
Thanks to the continued support of the Arts Council and Local Authorities across the island of Ireland. All events are FREE but advanced tickets are essential.

Our first event is Bog go Bog.
Bígí linn! Tugamar cuireadh daoibh Oiche Chultúir a cheiliúradh linn go séimh le ceardlann ióga as Gaeilge. Tar le do chlann, do chairde, nó leat fhéin - tá fáilte roimh gach aois!
We invite you to mindfully celebrate Culture Night with rejuvenating family friendly yoga delivered through the Irish Language. Through conscious movements Actor & movement facilitator Miriam Needham will guide you through the physical and mental space. Participants will hear our beautiful Irish Language describing body parts, actions and feelings.
Suitable for beginners and experienced yogi alike. No prior knowledge of the Irish language is required. Comfortable clothing advised. Please bring your own mat or towel.

Kyle Riley is back with his engaging, entertaining, and energetic show Little Folk On-Tour. He leads your children on a musical adventure playing his catchy original tunes, pop songs and traditional children’s music. Here the kids don’t just listen to the music, they become a part of the show. We’re going to make big noise with percussive instruments, float with colourful scarves and get lost in a shower of bubbles.

For your under 8s, your rock toddlers and little boppers in between. It’s good fun for the whole family. Little Folk- Jump. Shake. Sing

We are delighted to premiere Cathy Jordan’s new show ‘Captured in Song’. ‘Captured in Song’ is the culmination of over a years work during lockdown, where Cathy found liberation and freedom in songs. Songs old and new became a window from which to escape and embark on adventures beyond the 2k limit.

The show will include a wide range of songs from lullabies to murder ballads, from the newly composed to old gems newly discovered. Some of these songs will be accompanied by original drawings by Peter Crann who will use an illustrated scroll illuminated with a homemade "Crankie Box”, which is a vintage story-telling device that uses moving panoramic artwork, back-lit and hand-cranked, to animate a story or song.

Cathy will also be joined on the night by beautiful singers and musicians;

Nuala Kennedy - Vocals, Flute, Whistles

Anna Hueston - Vocals, Cello, Mandolin

Seamie O’Dowd - Vocals, Guitar, Fiddle

Claudia Schwab - Vocals, Fiddle

Cathy Jordan - Vocals, Uke Guitar, Bodhran

Please read our new Covid-19 Guidelines before you arrive. Masks must continue to be worn & we will also require patrons to present proof of vaccination/recovery.
