The Hawk’s Well Theatre are delighted to announce that they have been successful in securing €78,278 in funding from LEADER to put towards further renovations at the theatre. This accounts for 75% of the total amount required (€103,471.44) to renovate the backstage area of the theatre. read more

Our exciting new drama programme for adults, ‘Sligo Acts’ culminated in a hugely entertaining drama performance, ‘Sligo Acts: Husbands and Wives’ on Sunday 11th of March. The Sligo Acts programme was inspired by the great success of the Sligo Sings programme at the theatre and the positive feedback from the ongoing Acting for Adults courses which have been running at the theatre over the last three years. read more

Events cancelled due to Storm Emma rescheduled

Taking the advice of the National Emergency Coordination Group and Met Eireann, the theatre postponed a number of events last week. The Drawer Boy by Beezneez Theatre Company has been rescheduled to Wednesday 28 March and all those with tickets have been contacted. The Family Fun Day has been rescheduled to take place on Friday the 30th of March. The Art of the Spoken Word workshop with Jessica Traynor has been rescheduled from Saturday 3rd of March to Saturday 26th of May. read more

At the start of the year it was announced that the Hawk’s Well theatre has been successful in securing €550,000 in capital funding from the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Heather Humphreys TD. This money has been pledged but will only become available once the same amount of money has been fundraised by the theatre.  read more
