The Hawk's Well Theatre provides a member of staff to be in attendance when the building is open. This person's duties are to deal with problems / emergencies. If you need us to provide staff for your production (lighting / sound operator, stage manager, crew) there may be a cost incurred by your company. Please check.

In the event of any changes (i.e. your arrival time) please notify Nick McCall on +353 (0)87 229 8181.

On arrival at the Hawk's Well please contact the Technical Manager or Stage Manager. If unavailable please report to the Administration Office or Box Office.

During your stay please use the Theatre stage door.

We prefer not to spike the stage floor. Some weights and braces are available. If this is of concern please contact the Theatre as soon as possible.

We prefer no painting or construction work to be undertaken in the Theatre. Some alterations / running repairs will of course be allowed within reason. Again, any worries on this point - please get in touch.

Any electrical equipment provided by the company (including stage lighting) must conform to all current safety standards and regulations.

Any stage lights provided by the company must be fitted with a safety bond.

The Theatre reserves the right to refuse the use of any equipment, including scenery, deemed to be unsafe. Also the Theatre reserves the right to prohibit any actions or activity in the Theatre, including parts of the performance, deemed to put either theatre staff, performers or public at risk.

Food and drinks are prohibited from the Auditorium, Control Box, Stage and Backstage Area. Food and drinks as part of a performance are at the Theatre's discretion - see Technical Questionnaire.

The Theatre's decision in all the above matters is final.

The Theatre is fully accessible to wheelchairs.

Parking around the Theatre is a problem. Be prepared to buy parking discs or risk getting a ticket!

Health and Safety
Please take a moment to read the H&S Statement on the door of the Green Room.

Most importantly, please identify escape routes and fire exits. Use common sense and care at all times to protect the health and safety of both yourself and those working around you.

There is absolutely no smoking permitted anywhere in the Hawk's Well Theatre.
