First ‘Sing for the Hell of it! session a great success!
Attended by one hundred and fifteen singers of all ages, choirmaster Dave Flynn led the group through some great songs whilst accompanied by Darragh Houston on piano. Songs on the night included Suspicious Minds, I'll Fly Away, Higher and Higher, The Way You Make Me Feel and Mr Brightside and all went down a treat!
Sing for the Hell of it! is a new initiative by the theatre and is open to everyone and anyone who likes to sing. No musical experience is required. Attendants don't need to audition, read music, memorise song words, or sing solo. It’s all about just having fun and singing together! every month, Dave selects popular songs and runs through simple arrangements enabling singers to sing their hearts out.
There is no commitment, no performance at the end, this is just singing for the hell of it!
The next Sing for the Hell of it! night is on Monday the 20th of February and again on 20th March. This is proving to be a popular event and numbers are limited so if you are interested in coming along to the next session, do book yourself a place well in advance. Songs for the next session will be available to attendants ahead of the next event so that singers can familiarise themselves with the selected tunes.
