First ‘Sing for the Hell of it! session a great success!

On Monday, January 23rd, the Hawk's Well hosted its first 'Sing for the Hell of it!' night. Attended by one hundred and fifteen singers of all ages, choirmaster Dave Flynn led the group through some great songs whilst accompanied by Darragh Houston on piano. Songs on the night included Suspicious Minds, I'll Fly Away, Higher and Higher, The Way You Make Me Feel and Mr Brightside and all went down a treat! read more

A wonderful night of music at 10th Celebration Night: ‘Niamh Crowley: Music and Memories’

On Saturday the 21st of January, the Hawk's Well Theatre celebrated the career to date of Niamh Crowley in a special celebration night titled Niamh Crowley: Music & Memories. The evening was opened by a video clip of Niamh performing at twelve years of age on The Late Late Toy Show, followed by the appearance of Niamh herself on stage performing the same piece of music. Niamh's mother and three children joined her onstage to open up what was a wonderful night of music and memories. read more

Our next Books & Wine evening is on Thursday the 16th of February. Book fiend, Vanessa Job will welcome special guest Stephen Doyle, who will share the comic classic 'Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog)' by Jerome K Jerome. As is customary, on the night Benny Daly will present a wine that complements the writing. read more
