A big thanks to Niamh Crowley, Sligo Academy of Music and all the musicians and performers at the Sligo Academy of Music Gala on Friday 21st of April who will be donating all the proceeds from the event to the theatre's renovation fund. This will be a fantastic evening of music featuring Sligo Academy of Music Sinfonietta, Jazz Orchestra, Junior Orchestras and Voice Squad; the Summerhill College Choir, the County Sligo Golf Club Male Voice Choir, Sligo Gospel Choir and Jonathan Carter, Eoin Troy, Joe Hunt, Niamh Crowley, Keith O'Donnell and Leonard Dorrian. read more

Sligo Children's Book Festival took place from Thursday the 2nd to Sunday the 5th of March, with lots of book-related fun activities for children to enjoy. Events took place at the Hawk’s Well Theatre and The Model, kicking off with a Dr. Suess’ 113th Birthday Party at The Model which was opened by Sligo mayor, Marie Casserly. read more

Exciting New Shows added to Hawk’s Well Programme

We are delighted to announce details of some exciting new acts to appear at the Hawk's Well over the coming months. In May, we will have An Evening with Diarmuid Gavin. In June, American songstress Vonda Shepard (and star of TV series Ally McBeal) comes to perform complete with her full band, and in November, the one and only Ruby Wax is coming to the theatre to discuss her new best-selling book. We also welcome back Freddie White in July and in September, the much-loved Irish comedian David O’Doherty. read more

New Short-Term Residency Programme Announced

The Hawk’s Well Theatre are delighted to announce details of three short residencies for artists to take place at the theatre this year. Three four-week residencies have been awarded to three artists who will work on creative projects throughout the year. The artists involved are Sligo musicians Kieran Quinn and Oisín Mac Diarmada and actor Nichola MacEvilly.  read more
