BlinkeredBy Patricia Byrne
“Do you ever feel alone, like really alone, like nobody gets you?”
Behind the music, the closed door, inside the mind of a young man, there is a darkness, a heaviness that will not go away. A story about Ryan. You may not know him but you may know someone who does.
Sole Purpose Productions' reputation for engaging theatre audiences in issues that are sometimes uncomfortable and raw continues with this latest production. Promising another challenging performance, the play shines a light on the loneliness of depression and the impact on the family. Suitable for ages 15+.
Performances will be followed by an interactive theatre workshop which will explore issues raised in the play.
Sole Purpose Productions' Blinkered opened on Thursday the 9th of February in The Derry Playhouse and received standing ovations at both matinee and evening performances. Read some of the audience's reaction:
“Absolutely outstanding performance of a very important play”
"Innovative, interactive - fantastic chance for audience to have input”
“I learned that it really is ok not to be ok, make the call….”.
"Went tonight to see Blinkered with friends, there are no words to describe it. Amazing is all I can think of now."
